CMPLX Enigma Mascot

A personality mascot-ized, sans realism. The task here was to create a representation of a person (visualizing their appearance and their hobbies, likes, etc) for use on Social Media profiles. I wanted to subvert the desire to do a typical chibi portrait, deciding instead to focus the design on the traits and habits of the person in question.

I had a keyword list of ideas that represented the subject (love of art, playful but hidden, odd, imaginative), started sketching, found a color palette, and built the design from there. Design was planned to be easily adaptable for animation or merch development, as well as broken apart into key design elements to deepen the value of the exercise.
